The Black Gold Ignite presents Esso Fun Days!
Join us for a free, safe, and fun introduction to hockey for girls and women of all ages!

In partnership with Hockey Canada and Esso, this program has been inspiring new players since 1998 and has grown into one of the largest recruitment initiatives for women’s hockey in Canada.
We are proud to host this event as the inaugural event of the Black Gold Ignite Female Hockey Program, marking the beginning of an exciting new opportunity for girls and women in our community to get involved in the game.
Even if your daughter has never skated before or is curious about trying hockey, this welcoming event is designed to help first-time players step onto the ice, learn the basics, and experience the excitement of the game in a supportive environment.
What to Expect:
- On-ice introduction to skating and hockey skills
- Fun, beginner-friendly activities and games
- Supportive coaches and volunteers
- A safe, inclusive atmosphere for all participants
- Help with 2026-27 season registration
- Answers to all your questions regarding the new Black Gold Ignite!
Since this is a celebration there will be treats, swag and prizes. Come out, have fun, and have her take her first strides into hockey!
